Annual Meeting - November 2022
The civic organization fall meting was held at the Pavilion at Kenner City Park. Participants enjoyed socializing before the meeting with light refreshments and registration for the door prize. In addition to the three speakers, elected officials present included Councilman George Branigan, Councilman Tom Willmott and Kenner Police Chief Keith Conley.
Presentations were made by Parish President Cynthia Lee Sheng and Kenner Mayor MIchael Glaser. Questions were taken from the audience. A representative of PSC Commissioner Eric Skrmetta spoke on his behalf.
- Following the pledge of allegiance led by Tom Tatar, President Kerry Marcus provided an update for membership.
- Over 100 responses were received to the survey of questions for speakers. Summaries were posted on the website, presented to the speakers and were available at the meeting.
- Financial reports were posted around the room.
- Officers and Area Directors were elected for 2023.
- Outgoing board members Sid Leblanc, Julius Neumeyer, Tom Tatar and Laurie Becker were recognized for their combined 16 years of volunteer work.
- The Door Prize drawing, a bird house, went to Sherry Willmott.
- For the first time the was live on the Facebook, with some 23 viewers during the meeting and another 44 views afterward.
